I saw The Muppets on opening day. It was... wow. It was all I'd hoped for. The Muppets are back!

There were so many memorable songs and scenes in that movie. One that made me grin like a fool was the Muppets cleaning up the theater to the tune of We Built This City by Jefferson Starship. Say what you like about the song, it was ludicrously fun to watch. Scooter was rockin' out, using his pushbroom handle as a microphone. Hence this picture.

If you have any love for the Muppets in your heart, and you have not yet seen the movie, what're you waiting for? And if you have no love for the Muppets, I know thee not.

I loved that movie! It brought back so many childhood memories. Only one bad thing came out of it- thanks to the movie being so popular- we had to spend almost an hour finding a movie theater that didn't have the film sold out! The Muppets have been part of my childhood since the beginning. The Muppet Movie was one of my first tapes, and I'm proud to call it my favorite movie.

I loved Scooter's scenes in the movie. In all honesty, he's one of my favorite Muppets. I think he's so cute!

Yeah! Another cool picture of Scooter! He's my #1 from the Muppets, I just like the guy, ever since I was a kid in the 80s.

Have you ever noticed that Scooter has a resemblance to John Denver?

I hadn't noticed any similarity between Scooter and John Denver (other than both looking really weird when they take off their glasses) but when I draw Scooter badly he looks kind of like H.R. Pufnstuf.

Yeah, for some reason, when I see Scooter on the Muppet Show, to me he looks sort of like John Denver, but only when they have their glasses on.

The name, Pufnstuf, didn't ring a bell, so I went and did a google search. I found it and I can say, yeah, he does favor him some. For some odd reason, those characters from that show look familiar to me. I wonder if somewhere early in my childhood as a little boy I saw that show, but yet have no memory watching it, but they all look so familiar to me, like I've seen them all before. I use to watch the PBS channel when I was a kid, that might be where I saw them. :teevee:

I grew up in the heyday of Sid & Marty Krofft. Pufnstuf, Liddsville, Sigmund & The Sea Monsters, Dr. Shrinker, Land of the Lost... there was even a Krofft-themed amusement park in Atlanta for a while.
