I'm working on developing a character for my next MOTU story. So, this is Sumi, a member of the Crimson Council (Trollan magical bigwigs) whose magical schtick involves direct manipulation of magical forces through visualization. Which is where the brushlike wand comes in. He doesn't actually paint his magic; it's just a convenient way for him to focus his mind.

The silver ear things aren't adornment - he was born with malformed ears, and wears those prostheses so he won't be half deaf. I come up with some strange plot points, don't I?

It's still pretty early in this character's development, so he may change significantly before I use him. Shoot, he's already had a sex change.
