Another cartoon I watched in the '80s was Heathcliff / Cats & Company. What can I say, I was (and still am) an ailurophile. Of the two halves of the show, I liked the Cats & Company segments better. Wordsworth was the member of the "Catillac Cats" who spoke in rhyme. Let me tell you, that's a pain in the neck for fanfic writers.
I tweaked his design a little because I always thought his face looked a little "mushy." I considered updating his roller skates to inlines, but then I realized that I'd then have to swap his headphones for an iPod and give him cooler-looking shades, and said forget it.
Heh heh, when I wrote fic for that show I did do some... a-heh, updating. I was unkind to Wordsworth - I decided that, based on his overall look (slender, unmasculine) and how he never showed any hint of a libido that he was altered. Doesn't bother him none - fixed as a kitten, don't miss what'cha never had - but Hector would rag on him. Hector's a jackass that way.
Maybe I'll redraw the other characters. They're easy to draw. I dunno about Mungo, though - I made him look more Persian, and them things ain't pretty.
By the way, Wendy, I command you to go look at the May 2, 2008 Least I Could Do comic. It would be an injustice if you did not look at it. After you do, I ahve a funny story to tell you about my blondeness.

Ahh, A beautiful dove. The symbol of peace. How sweet. Perhaps I should feed it... To a CAT!
