Deviation Actions
So, as you probably know, Funko has some pretty snazzy FNAF stuff planned for this year, starting in May and June. I have my eye on the action figures. But a leaked catalog has shown a few items that they did not announce. Here's the relevant pages; I won't make you scroll through the very-very-long catalog PDF for them.
"We plan to make Chica! We just haven't got a prototype to photograph."
As I understand it, the first wave series includes Toy Freddy, Gold Freddy, Freddy, Endoskeleton Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Bonnie with guitar, Toy Chica, Chica, Foxy, Balloon Boy, The Puppet, and a Crying Child. (No Springtrap?!) If that's the case, then some of these are intended for the second or subsequent series.
I freakin' love this. Not because I have a thing for candy tins, but because I want to be able to open an animatronic's head and eat what's inside.
This is...freaky. Smiley and sleepy Springtrap? What-did-i-just-sit-on Mangle? Puppet with his mouth shut? HERESY! Of course, these will be blind-bagged too. *sigh*
2" pinback buttons. The images, as it says, are just placeholders.
Now, the above items (except for the first wave of the minis) are in the concept stage; if there's enough interest from retailers they'll be made. They won't be formally announced until they see how the first batch of merchandise sells. If they see people buying FNAF stuff, they'll make more FNAF stuff!
If you are just itching to preorder FNAF stuff, I suggest checking out Entertainment Earth's FNAF section. Here's what they currently have; all are coming in May 2016 unless otherwise marked:
Action Figures: Foxy, Bonnie, Freddy, Chica, and Gold Freddy. $12.99 each, and each has a part of Springtrap. If you get them all you'll have a figure of Springy-dingy.
Mystery Minis w/Display Case: The display you see in stores, with 12 blind-bagged figures. $67.99. You can also buy a set of 4 random blind-boxed figures for $24.99.
6-inch Plushes w/Display Case: The display you see in stores, plushes included. $67.99. The current plan is to include 3 Freddys, 2 Foxys, 1 Bonnie(?!), 1 Chica(?!), and 2 Funtime Foxys (Mangle). This looks like a great way to get little FNAF gifts.
Keychains: Foxy, Bonnie, Freddy, Chica, and Springtrap. $5.99 each.
Vinyl sets: Two available, $14.99 per set. The first includes Freddy, Bonnie, Springtrap, and Balloon Boy. The second includes Foxy, Golden Freddy, Chica, and and Endoskeleton. Figures are 2" tall and non-articulated. Coming in April.
Freddy & Foxy Big Ol' Plushes. 16" tall, $29.99. Big enough to be unsettling but not terrifying.
Pen Display Case: 16 pens and the display case you see in stores. The current assortment is as listed: 3 Gold Freddys, 4 Bonnies, 2 Freddys, 2 Foxys, 2 Chicas, and 3 Chica's Cupcake. (The Cupcake upstages Freddy? Whoa.) $79.99. Coming in April.

The fate of Bendy and Joey Drew Studios
This is about Joey Drew Studios, not about my comic. I want to state up-front that these developments will have no effect on the story I'm telling, which by now is completely independent of BATIM anyway. So...Joey Drew Studios, the publisher of Bendy and the Ink Machine, has been sued by Phatmojo, the company that made a large amount of merchandise based on BATIM, Showdown Bandit, and Bendy and the Dark Revival. Remember those action figures and plushies that came out in 2019, then sat around gathering dust on store shelves because the games they represented didn't materialize? At the time I thought that was a horrible misstep for Mood and Meatly, Bendy's creators. Merchandise generates a LOT of revenue, and without that revenue the company is in trouble. And, yep, the company soon fired most of its staff and canceled Showdown Bandit after the first chapter, and postponed BATDR. They did release Boris and the Dark Survival, which I understand basically recycled code from
You should put The Butcher Gang in your comic!
(Warning: I have been under a ton of stress lately. Life has been getting very real for me. So, I apologize in advance if I come across as unduly harsh here.) Lately people have been asking me to put The Butcher Gang into my Get a Life comic. The short answer is: no. The longer answer is: I am telling a story about Bendy and Alice. It is about them dealing with existence in their own ways. It is not about them fighting stock cartoon villains. This is simply not that kind of story. There is no place in Get a Life for The Butcher Gang as it now stands, and I have no interest in shoehorning them in simply because they exist. Unless something changes drastically, the most they might get is a background cameo, and even that is unlikely because that would lead people to assume that they are going to become important characters in the story. It's happened before. If you really need to see The Butcher Gang in a comic, look around. I'm sure someone else is doing fan comics with
Go get FNAF ''Security Breach: Fury's Rage'' now!
Scott Cawthon: Look, I hate to say this, but Security Breach is delayed again. We really really want to make it great! That cake is gonna have so many sprinkles and so much marzipan we'll have to put in extra supports! So, in the meantime--please put the tar and feathers down!--how about a Security Breach side-game? And it's free. We good? https://gamejolt.com/games/furysrage/611180
